Developer of large-scale sites for data centers powered by low-carbon electricity.

Company Overview

In July 2024, Sandbrook announced an equity commitment of $300MM alongside NGP Sustainable Infrastructure into Cloverleaf Infrastructure, a recently-formed developer of large-scale sites for data centers powered by low-carbon electricity. Cloverleaf was founded by two power development executives that we have worked closely with for over a decade, Dave Berry and Jonathan Abebe, alongside a proven leader in the data center development business, Brian Janous. Cloverleaf collaborates with regional US utilities and data center operators to deliver large-scale data center sites through strategic investments in real estate, transmission, grid interconnection, onsite generation and storage, and utility-scale low-carbon generation.

Why we invested

The investment in Cloverleaf aims to address the significant implications of the growth in digital infrastructure and emergence of AI and cloud computing on electricity demand, grid stability, power markets and associated carbon emissions across the US. Through our investment, we are advancing sustainable data center development and contributing to the decarbonization of the digital infrastructure market.
